Scenery: Sentinel and Western Buttress, Mont-aux-Sources, Drakensberg Mountains
Label on photograph: “Mt-aux-Sources Sentinel and Western Buttress. Any one in good physique can get to top of Mountain at the Western Buttress where a climb 700 feet high in a wide crack filled with loose rocks & boulders leads to the plateau. But it takes rock work climbing, courage and freedom from dizziness to get to top of Sentinel. The Sentinel is separated from Western Buttress by a deep serration.” (MS BRUECKNER H8) ;
