Statement issued by the Grahamstown Vigilance Committee with suggestions on improving relations between the Council and Grahamstown Townships. The suggestions include the need for the Council to address problems such as shortage of housing in the locations, excessive rental fees and the need to convert beer halls into buildings that provide basic services with essential commodities that would benefit the community more than beer.
