Bambata Rebellion

A defence network of barbed wire outside Greytown courthouse. At the end of the barricade is a sand bagged strong point. Note that the sand bags have been brought by means of a station wheel barrow.

This group of buildings, known as Currie's Fountain, stood at the foot of the Berea below the Botanic Gardens. The buildings were demolished and the site cleared in the 1900s.
