Cato Manor is one of those places about which, and around about which, controversy has always appeared to rage. It is almost as though the Greek concept of the genius of place can work, initially , in reverse that social conditions may imbue a piece of territory with their temper and structure until the imprint itself becomes generative a true genius of place. More clinically , one might observe that locations and their places have social, economic and political value and that , even in changing socio-political environments, those values often continue although the currency of legal tender may change. Value and its underlying values tend not to move with any great haste.
